We'll introduce you to the fundamentals of 3D printing technology and explore the possibilities it offers. You'll learn about the step-by-step process of turning your digital designs into tangible objects using the free open source software Inkscape and the online CAD software, Tinkercad. We'll guide you through creating an outline design in Inkscape, setting it up on Tinkercad, navigating the platform, and understanding the basics of creating 3D models. We'll cover essential design principles and provide tips for optimizing your design for 3D printing. By the end of the class, you'll be ready to export your design and have it 3D printed, turning your virtual creation into a real, tangible phone stand!
